S-Adenosy l-L-Methionine-sulfate-p-toluene sulfonate (SAMET) in the treatment of Osteoarthritis.

Abstract
SAMe (S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine Sulfate-P-Toluenesulfonate) is the important physiologic metabolite which is found in every living cell, where it acts as metabolic methly donor for the forty biologic relictions, as methylation of nucleic acid and protein and the biosynthesis of membrane phospholipids.
Through the release of a methyl group, SAMe effects the production of all endogenous sulfated compounds. We evaluate the effect of a treatment with SAMe administered for 30 days in a double-blind method to 20 patients with degenerative arthritis of hand, spine and knee, and compare the results =o those obtained in 20 patients receiving placebo and get results that it is very effective drug in degenerative arthritis.
